Bollo Makes Fashion is a project by fashion designer Pascal
Rommé that invited young people to approach clothing
design introspectively rather than based on trends, styles,
attitudes or looks. The work explores the creation of clothing
as a medium of self-exploration, self-definition, and space
creation.
Each design stems from a young person's individual experience, perspective or history. The work presented here is made from a combination of clothing donated by young people, second-hand clothing sourced in charity shops or online and fabric, bought by the metre.
This project could not have existed in this form without the clothing donations from young people and the financial support of the Acton Gardens Community Chest.
